1- Appoint Roles

We discussed what each of the four roles (chair, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer) involved.

Pupils put themselves up for the roles, giving a short speech.

They then voted for each role the person that they thought would do a good job.

Chair – Adam, P7

Vice-chair – Daniel Mc, P5

Secretary – Daniel G, P5

Treasurer – Joe, P6

2 – Ideas for garden

  • grow veg

  • put netting over the veg

  • making a game

  • water feature

  • water dispersal system

  • flowers

  • weeding

  • shed donated by MFR cash for kids to be built

  • decorative flowers/ fake vines for fences

  • clay animal footprints

  • a sign for the garden

  • climbers on the black pillars at the front door

3 – AOCB

The pupils wanted to have another look at the garden to plan where the above things may go.

Everyone introduced themselves stating their name, class and why they wanted to be part of the garden committee.

2 – Eco Week

Eco week will be held on 27.9.10.

To go back to classes and ask what they want to do for it.

  • plant flowers

  • wear yellow and green

3- Blog

Miss Dunbar showed blog and reminded that the action plan could be found there and the minutes from the meeting would be displayed there too.

Eco Meeting

Miss Bowman and Miss Jones will be holding an additional eco meeting on Monday 20th September at 12.55pm so that they can discuss the ideas for eco week.
